my little bio.....
where my fishing began .
well my first actual experience was when Ben and his brother was going fishing, I had never been before so they invited me along. I was about nine at the time so I was nervous because it was at Cefn Mably Lakes witch at the time the lakes were like a reservoir.
I don’t class that as me starting I say it as when I started carp fishing which was around three years ago. keep in mind I had a 6 month plus break because of school. There was only 4 people on the lake, again at cefn mably lakes but this time on the 'horse shoe' Ben and I scattering boilies by throwing them out with one hand and one boilie at a time. We was using simple tackle not knowing a thing really just watching korda’s free DVDs that got us into the sport. But we caught about 10 fish between us biggest being only around 7-8lb, fell to me, have that Ben!
This as most first carp sessions go, got us hooked. Following week we done three day sessions one after each other. From when the gates opened till they closed ‘lol’.
my greatest experience fishing .
My greatest fishing experience has to be on my week session. I have the worst luck, compared to Ben. I have caught more fish than Ben on some times and he will catch one and it would be a twenty, witch isn't a big deal now, but when you catch 16 ponders and under and wont get past that mark. The feeling of breaking that was just the best.
when I had it on the mat after being weighed I looked at it and was happy but more mad with the fish like, 'why have you taken so long', but it was just Ben's luck. And if you have reached the mark you've been waiting for, waiting a long time, you can just sense it. I hadn't even seen the fish and I can remember a year down the line me saying to Ben, 'this is it, I know it is'.
It was and the best thing about these fish, you bring them in they see Ben's face, go ape. I must of spent less time bringing it into the margin than when it got to the margin.
Fish i'm hunting for .
The fish I am currently hunting for is one, well there is two, the other for the fight, but this one is a stunner, stunning scaly mirror. I really hope I get him or her before I finish my experience at mably, and it's were I started my serious carping so its hard to leave but ill pop in doing the odd session. but Lamby is next for there big fish and another scaly one called 'star burst' I want this fish more than any other .
The fish I am currently searching for is a fish called 'drop tail' biggest in the lodge lake, and hopefully will be mine. Its stunning and it would be the good bye from the lake to catch them two by march 2014 when the season starts at Lamby.,,
